BudgetVault Privacy Policy

1. Overview

BudgetVault ("the App") is a personal finance tracker built by Yodabi s.p. Your privacy is our top priority. Core budgeting works offline. Your financial records remain on your device and are not sent to a BudgetVault server or cloud account. Network access used by optional third-party services is described below. This policy explains what the App stores, what it does not collect, and the safeguards used to protect your information.

2. Data Stored on Your Device

All data is stored locally in a database on your device. This includes:

• Transactions. Amounts, categories, notes, and dates.
• Account names and balances. Used to display your financial overview.
• Budgets and budget limits. Set and tracked entirely on device.
• Savings goals and debt records. Progress is calculated locally.
• Net worth snapshots. Historical records stored in the local database.
• Recurring transactions. Scheduled entries managed on device.
• Custom exchange rates. User-defined rates stored locally.
• App settings and preferences. Theme, currency, and other options.
• Receipt images. Stored on device storage, never uploaded.

This data remains on your device at all times. You can export or back up your data at any time from Settings, and delete it by uninstalling the App.

3. Data We Do Not Collect

We do not operate a server that collects, transmits, or stores your personal financial records. Specifically:

• No analytics or tracking SDKs.
• No user accounts or registration.
• No cloud sync or remote storage.
• No location data.
• No contact or phone data.
• No usage telemetry.

4. Advertising (Free Version Only)

The free version of BudgetVault displays ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect certain device information (such as advertising ID, device model, and IP address) to serve and personalize ads. AdMob does not have access to your financial data within the App.

Upgrading to BudgetVault Pro removes all advertising and any associated data collection by AdMob.

5. Permissions

The App requests the following permissions:

• Notifications. To send daily reminders and budget alerts. You can disable this in Settings.
• Biometric Authentication. To unlock the App with your fingerprint or face. This is optional and processed entirely on your device.

6. Data Security

Your data is protected by your device's built-in security (screen lock, encryption). The App also offers optional PIN lock and biometric lock for additional protection. All security processing happens locally on your device.

7. Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. If you believe a child has used the App and provided information, contact us so we can address it.

8. Changes

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the App with an updated effective date.
